Since Steve Skinners arrival at the club he has worked dilligently along with Chris Blakelock to improve the standards of the playing side of the club on every level. In the first couple of games improvements could be seen and both Whickham and Tow Law knew they had been in a tough game. Brandon went ahead in both matches against good opposition only to lose out in the end.
Away to Crook on a cold Wednesday night was a bit of a shock. Having played well for long spells and taken the lead Brandon managed to contrive to losea game they should have won.
However things came together on Saturday against Jarrow Roofing. Probably the most pleasing aspect was the first clean sheet for a long time. After a scrappy first half, Brandon took control in the second half. Brandon lad Lee Blades opened the scoring with a clinical finish when through on the keeper.
Nerves were partially settled when Connor Lowes scored his first goal for the club to make it 2-0
Everyone was pleased for the manager who has worked extremely hard to turn the team around.
