In a see saw match away to Tow Law, Brandon came away on the wrong end of a 5-3 scoreline.
Having gone ahead with a deft lob over the goalkeeper by Vinny Gash from an excellent through ball by Kyle Wren we somehow found ourselves 2-1 down at halftime having been the better team for long periods.
Brandon started the second half well and quickly took a 3-2 lead with Gash scoring both to complete his hat trick. It could be argued that a dubious refereeing decision costed Brandon victory. At 3-2 Gash scored with a header only to have it ruled out for an infrigement only the referee saw. At 4-2 would Brandon gone on to win? This is a matter for conjecture.
However, Tow Law came back strongly and with one excellent long range strike and some good finishing ran out 5-3 winners.
The feeling in the Brandon camp was one of disappointment as it was a game we felt we had done enough in to come away with all three points.
On reflection scoring 3 goals away from home was a positive sign but you will rarely if ever get something from a game when you concede 5 goals.
